Adult Ministries at Calvary

Foundations Classes

Sundays @ 9AM

Foundations is a small group Bible study ministry. This ministry is a priority at Calvary to equip our congregation through training, fellowship, prayer, and outreach, with the goal that each person would continue to grow in Christ-likeness—more and more people, more and more LIKE JESUS (Colossians 1:28-29). Approximately 75% of those who attend our church are an active part of Foundations. Foundations significantly helps those who participate to understand the point of the Bible and how its parts fit together.

Covenant Groups

Each adult and teen Foundations ministry has one or more Covenant Groups. Covenant Groups at Calvary provide the structure for developing and growing authentic Biblical relationships. They model the “one anothers” from the New Testament and demonstrate what it looks like to live in Christ and with His people during both formal meetings and non-programmed, day-to-day life. These groups deliberately connect with other groups and ministries in and outside of Calvary to care for, serve, and point each other to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Men's Ministries

Leading men in knowing, loving, and enjoying God and His church is one of the best things we can do for families and our church as a whole, which is why we prioritize men’s ministries at Calvary. Men who experience a rich relationship with God and each other will model a Christ-exalting life to those around them. Men can participate in Iron Man, Faithful Men, Elder and Deacon equipping, men’s conferences, like Together for the Gospel and the Basics conference, one-on-one studies, and Titus 2 mentoring. These ministries are for men but are not all about men. They are the outgrowth of a longing to see God more fully glorified in each life in His church.

Ladies' Ministries

Christ, not womanhood or the women’s ministry, must be the reference point. Unless a women’s ministry is an overflow of the gospel, women will become hinderers and not helpers in God’s Church. Those who plan and implement a women’s ministry must be intentional in maintaining a gospel orientation in their hearts and lives.

-J. Ligon Duncan/Susan Hunt, Women’s Ministry in the Local Church

Calvary’s women’s ministries are a gathering of women around the Word of God. They meet in the midst of real life to live more and more clearly in light of gospel enablement and hope. By God's grace, our ladies are equipped to live and share resurrection life in their homes, our church, and our needy world. Women can participate in the ladies' Bible study, park and pond days, women’s conferences, like True Women and the Gospel Coalition Women's Conference, retreats, one-on-one studies, and Titus 2 mentoring.
